Sales Engineer – machine tool, sales, CNC turning, lathe

A successful award winning and top US distributor of high precision CNC machine tools is expanding their sales team. They provide their valued customers with machining solutions and superior technical support. This machine tool distributor has built a world class team of applications engineers, service engineers and sales support professionals. Their reputation in the market place allows them to continue sales growth. They offer good benefits and high income for qualified candidates. This client offers multiple machine tool lines.

We are looking for up and coming and seasoned sales professionals with machine tool sales experience. Previous experience selling multi axis CNC lathes is preferred. This is a regional sales engineering position. Many of their sales engineers focus on a 1 or 2 state territory mostly calling on customers in specific in-state machining hubs. Past experience working as a machinist, CNC programmer or engineer and gaining sale experience or machine tool industry sales professionals are needed. Knowledge of CNC machining and the ability to communicate machined to capability is required. The ideal candidate will be able to review customer prints and provide machining solutions. Candidates will need good verbal / written communications skills. Working with customers, the sales engineer will communicate proposals, pricing, machine tool features and benefits. Technical training on specific machine tools is provided. Our client offers a base salary and commission, along with good benefits. Base salary and commission percentages are based on experience, previous track record, territory exposure and required training.

MUST HAVE: previous CNC lathe knowledge and either sales engineering or customer interaction. Experience in the machine tool industry. The position requires self-motivated individuals with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
